Procedure:
- Gather the materials and supplies necessary for this lab.
- Using the spoon, attempt containing the oil to one side of the basin.
- Dispose of the spoon.
- Now, using the paper towels, try to absorb this oil by dipping the paper towels until they've been soaked through with oil.
- Place the paper towels aside in a beaker.
- Distribute the vinegar and baking soda over the basin's solution, especially where there is a higher concentration of oil.
- Pour the laundry soap over the solution evenly.
- Next, squeeze the oily paper towels into their beaker.
- In the beaker, you should be able to see an approx. measurement for how much oil was absorbed.
